Battery unable to deal with equalisation
During equalisation, the battery charge voltage will be quite high and if the battery is unsuitable to be equalised, the battery will be overcharged.
Not all batteries can be charged with equalisation voltages. Check with the battery manufacturer if the battery you are using needs a periodic equalising charge.
Generally speaking, sealed batteries as well as lithium batteries don’t need equalising and therefore should not be equalised.
