VEConfigure3 updated

Good morning!

Almost two weeks ago, we released an update of VEConfigure3This post is to inform you of the changes.

And on top of those changes, there is something else: all the text in the ‘Assistants’ has been translated to Spanish, German and French. These translations will be available later today. Just start VEConfigure3 whilst connected to the Internet, and it will download the updated files automatically. One exception: the translation of the Hub-1 assistant will be finished later this week.

VEFlash included

VEFlash is the program to use for updating firmware in a VE.Bus product (Multis, Inverters and Quattros). VEFlash is now included in the whole VEConfigure package. The big advantage being that it is then also included in the auto-update function that keeps all your VEConfigure tools up to date. It is therefore no longer needed to keep VEFlash somewhere separate on your computer. Please also don’t do that! Take the time now and remove all copies that you can find on your computer. Using an old version of VEFlash can get you in all sorts of trouble.

To find out more about the different firmware versions available for VE.Bus products, see the Updating your Multi and Computer to VEConfigure3 PDF, available on our software and downloads page.

Warning when starting VEConfigure

VEConfigure3 warning
Above warning is added to the start-up screen. I do realize that it can be annoying to have to disconnect these products before starting VEConfigure3. But please do make the effort. You can get all kinds of weird problems if you don’t. For example a very strangely responding current limiter.

And there are many more small improvements in VEConfigure3, Quick configure and System configurator. They include:

Best regards and wishing you a good day from Johannesburg, where we are exhibiting at the Power & Electricity Africa exhibition today and tomorrow.
