Sales Manager North America

Victron Energy, founded in 1975 by Reinout Vader, designs and sells inverters, chargers, and other related power conversion products. Being a technology-focused and sales-driven organization, we rely on a strong R&D team and technically skilled sales managers. The company structure is flat, requiring all team members to be autonomous and self-motivated. Oversight and management responsibilities are still directed by Reinout, along with his son, Matthijs Vader. Victron remains a family-owned company to this day.

We are looking for an experienced and autonomous sales manager who will be focusing on new business opportunities in the North American market. The candidate would be joining our current North American sales team which consists of 4 experienced and motivated people.

Your required qualities are:

Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • You will be focusing on setting up new accounts

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • At least 5 years of experience as a sales manager
  • An autonomous working spirit
  • Outstanding commercial skills
  • Sales experience in B2B strategical partnerships
  • At least 5 years experience in battery-based energy systems
  • Living in North America

Who we are:

Victron Energy is well known for its professional products for independent electric power management. You will join a highly capable team in Almere to help with the development of industry-leading inverter/chargers known as MultiPlus-II.


What we are looking for:

We are looking for a dedicated Power Electronics Engineer to perform a great load of tasks to assist the Sr. Engineer during the full-cycle product development including Schematic & PCB design, testing, debugging. The PE engineer must be self-driven and a quick learner with an ability to own the product ownership along the run.


Must-Have Requirements

  • At least BS in Electrical/Electronic or similar engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Hands-On Experience with laboratory tools such as oscilloscope, high-frequency measurements, power supplies, mechanical tools, SMD soldering, making cables
  • Altium PCB and Schematic skills specifically for switching converters
  • Ability to Simulate, analyze, and design Analog & Digital power electronics circuits
  • Excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in parallel. Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce clear and concise documents and report management.

Nice to Have Requirements

  • Experience with battery, solar or inverter systems
  • Experienced with power converter topologies, digital control systems and LTspice Simulations
  • Software development in C (Specially MCU timers, PWM generation, ADCs)
  • Familiarity with compliance (EMC), electromagnetic immunity (EMI)
