2. Download and installation

In this section:

VictronConnect is available to users of Windows PCs, macOS X, iOS, Android and Linux AppImage. Use this link to download the app suitable for you.

See chapter 4 for details regarding compatible phones, tablets and laptops, as well as required minimum Operating System versions.

2.1. Application setup

After you have installed VictronConnect, you can set up your preferences for the application.

The settings described here only affect the VictronConnect application. These are not product settings.

Tap the "hamburger" menu icon at the top left of the page.

Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Service report: Allows you to create a service report and send it out in case of problems or errors.
See this section on how to create a service report.
VRM Account: Log in with your VRM account in order to use VictronConnect Remote (VC-R). See here for more details.
Language: Select your preferred language.
Display temperature unit: This changes the temperature unit shown by a connected device.
Theme mode: Choose a light or dark theme. Auto will match the operating system's default theme.
Note
The following option is only available on mobile devices, it is not available on iOS and Windows devices.
Keep screen on: When enabled, the mobile device screen will remain on when VictronConnect is open on the foreground.
Warning
The mobile device will not lock! Ensure your mobile device is not left unattended when VictronConnect is open in the foreground!

For Windows devices, there is an option to enable automatic updates for the VictronConnect application.
Note
This option automatically downloads and installs updates for the VictronConnect application only. It does not update connected products.
