Impossible Robotics: REcYcLE rush robot demonstration

In the blog post ‘Engineering the future: Impossible Robotics‘, we introduced you to the young Dutch team that Victron Energy are delighted to sponsor.

On Monday Victron Energy R&D staff along with some of the team member’s families and team coach Henk van der Wal, were first given a presentation and then a demonstration of the Impossible Robotics REcYcLE rush robot in action. Sticking with competition rules, the team had until midnight on Monday to finalise their design. Here are some photos and a video from their demonstration day.

The team’s challenge is to move objects and containers about a game area, stacking them and filling them with items. Here’s a short 1 minute video proof of concept – and a nice tune!

What’s next?

On the 16th of March the team travel to America for the REcYcLE rush challenge to be held in Richmond, Virginia , USA from  Mar 18th – Mar 21st, 2015.

Stay in touch with the team
