Victron Energy sponsors Gewest Friesland and ice racing team Corendon

Saturday the 27th of December 2014 was a special day for Victron Energy, as we signed a sponsorship agreement with Gewest Friesland and ice racing team Corendon.

Gewest Friesland is a Dutch ice skating association that facilitates young talent. Victron sponsorship will help in training such young talent to turn professional, in what is a very popular sport in the Netherlands.

Team Corendon is a team of professional racers with members such as Koen Verweij. In the 2014 Sochi winter Olympics, Verweij finished 2nd in the 1500m event, after finishing only 0,003 seconds behind the winner. He was also a member of the Dutch Gold medal winners team, in the team pursuit race at Sochi.

Immediately after signing the agreement on Saturday we were able to follow the first ice racing competition at the Dutch Championships NK Allround, in the Thialf ice arena in Heerenveen, Netherlands. And team Gewest Friesland were wearing a brand new racing suit, with our logo on it!

Team Gewest Friesland and Team Corendon both participated in the NK Allround.
