Color Control GX v1.13 firmware released

As of Wednesday 7th May 2014, v1.13 firmware for the CCGX became available. If your CCGX is set to receive automatic updates it will now be updated. If not, you can choose to update it now. Here is what is new in this latest release.

Changes:

– Fixed VE.Direct communication bug that could cause values from MPPTs and BMVs to jump up and down every second

– Fixed VE.Direct communication bug that could cause communication from MPPTs and BMVs to halt

– Plus additional internal changes

Known issues:

– Finding a USB-GPS might take a while

– Remote support on/off setting will be changed from On to Off after a manual firmware update with a recovery image.

– Support of recovery from USB sticks does not work on all sticks.

– Internet and LAN connection problems. The Ethernet connection crashes when connected to a Cisco/Linksys WAP300 access point running a DHCP server. And also problems with Wifi-to-Ethernet devices have also been reported.

– After leaving the menu in the User type selection screen for a long time, the interface crashes and you are left with a white display.

– For some PV Inverters, the power and current readings measured with the AC Current Sensors stick to 50 to 140 Watts during the night, instead of showing 0 Watts.

Priorities for the next release are:

· Fix the internet communication problems that some specific installations have. We are pleased to report though, that this is only a handfull.

· Add MPPT 100/30, 100/50 and 150/35

· Add modbustcp protocol (CCGX will act as a gateway, making life for people with PLCs that want to read data from Multis or MPPTs very simple).

Personally speaking, and having tested the pre-release v1.13 version on my own CCGX, I have noticed that my 3G connection seems more stable. We welcome  your own comments too.
