  • Good technical/commercial skills and experience
  • 5-Year experience with Victron Energy products is required
  • Education or experience in battery-based energy systems
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
  • Living in Western Australia, willing to travel also in Asia when needed.

Way of working
A typical software project is run from start till end by one software engineer. You will be responsible for your own work, from concept and architectural choices up to testing and finally tagging your release code and binaries. The flat organization gives a lot of freedom but also requires a high level of professionalism and autonomy.

Below two projects are chosen to show typical projects done in the Eindhoven office. On one hand, a combined inverter/charger with multiple arm processors and several communication interfaces. On the other hand a battery system where the focus lies on the application functionality.

Combined Inverter/Grid Charger/MPPT Solar Charger

  • Firmware implements direct FET-drive control loops, Ultra-fast MPPT algorithm.
  • No operating system / bare metal.
  • Updateable through encrypted bootloaders.
  • Communication to the user through custom LCD.

Battery systems

  • Small micro-controller per cell for balancing and monitoring. Focus on low power consumption.
