-(draft) +[[solar-and-wind-priority|moved here]]

-Reason for this page is that we'll add a link into VEConfigure (& VictronConnect) to explain a new feature that is being added.
-
-Which makes the inverter/charger charge up to float voltage only, to prioritise renewable energy.
-
-To be detailed in more detail later.
-
-By using shore power to charge up to the configured float voltage, the battery is charged sufficiently to prevent premature ageing by leaving it in a discharged state. In case there is not enough solar in the system. The inverter/charger will finish the charge in the next repeated absorption interval, which by default is configured to occur every 7 days.
-
-
-
-Target: boats, campers, and so forth that want their solar charger to take care of most of charging when connected to shore power; either while travelling but also when back home.
-
-And that want the Multi to be there as a backup to make sure batteries are not left alone in case there is no or not enough charger; and want an option in their enduser-controls to force a charge whenever they need it.
-
-Details:
-
-- for a Quattro, this will only work when connected to AC-in-2, since AC-in-1 is where a generator is connected and while that is running you want to charge with full power.
-- if storage is enabled in its settings, then after a hardcoded 12 hours go to storage
