It’s good to see Victron’s products appearing in magazines, and making a difference to boat owners. This time it is the southern hemisphere’s turn.<\/p>\n

When SeaChange, a 15m powercat luxury catamaran from Darwin in Australia, needed an upgrade, Ynovex Pty Ltd<\/a>., put together a package that gave the boat a whole new lease of life.<\/p>\n

Part of the upgrades were a 24V 8kVA Victron Energy Quattro inverter\/charger and an isolation transformer, which were chosen to cater for the operating load of the boat whilst seamlessly managing the charging from shore power or the existing on-board generator as required.<\/p>\n

“An added bonus is inverter capacity, Seachange is now capable of running air conditioning whilst underway and at rest, making for exceptionally comfortable cruising in the often stifling conditions. This of course increases generator usage but results in a much happier crew, which is priceless.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

I guess that says it all. As a skipper myself, happy crews are good crews and I’m glad Victron could help make that difference.<\/p>\n
