No need to do anything: when necessary, you&#8217;ll automatically be prompted to update firmware of a connected device.<\/p>\n<p>Now we have added a more fine grained option: select a specific firmware file to use, for example as received by email or downloaded from the Victron Professional portal.<\/p>\n<p>It\u00a0works for Windows and Mac\u00a0computers, but\u00a0also Android and Apple iOS smartphones. See screenshot:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"full-size-image container\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6301\" src=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2016\/04\/victronconnect_v14_straight_open_5637797-e1461792147980.png\" alt=\"victronconnect_v14_straight_open\" width=\"375\" height=\"667\" \/><\/div><\/p>\n<p>Opening the\u00a0firmware file in VictronConnect will automatically save it in VictronConnect. To then\u00a0update firmware of a connected device, go to that device, then click the Setting icon in the top right, go to Product information, and then click the Update firmware button.<\/p>\n<p>Firmware files are available for download in our <a href=\"https:\/\/professional.victronenergy.com\" target=\"_blank\">Victron Professional portal<\/a>\u00a0(new!).<\/p>\n<h3>Only for special purposes<\/h3>\n<p>It is good to know that VictronConnect will automatically trigger you to install the latest firmware on our products. This new manual firmware update feature isn&#8217;t necessary for that. It is only necessary for some special occasion. Which could be to install a recently released firmware version that is not yet embedded into VictronConnect. Such as now the latest VE.Direct MPPT v1.17 firmware, more on that in the next blogpost.<\/p>\n<h3>Complete change log<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>New feature: Manual firmware updates. Manual firmware update option available on the product info page.<\/li>\n<li>New firmwares included on this version:\n<ul>\n<li>Phoenix inverter 250 and 375 VA fw: v1.02 (mandatory)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle fw: v2.06(mandatory)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">Fix issue when connected device firmware update was interrupted, resulting in device not being seen by VictronConnect<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">Show both leds when there is no vedirect device<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">iOS: Fix issues with dialogs displaying long messages.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Download and manual<\/h3>\n<p>VictronConnect will automatically update itself to the latest version.
