It might also mean reviewing an older system&#8217;s configuration easily, or spotting an issue in a single battery in a battery bank without having to travel to the site.<\/p>\n<p>For end-users, it might mean checking in on their system from their phone, in whatever theme they prefer, and getting a more detailed picture of what&#8217;s happening, wherever they are.<\/p>\n<p>Released today, VictronConnect app v6.40 brings a range of updates designed to make system monitoring and management easier for end-users, as well as professionals. Let&#8217;s have a look at what&#8217;s new.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bluetooth connectivity now on Windows<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"VictronConnect 6.40 Adds Bluetooth Support for Windows Users\" width=\"422\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1PsWwqZzy0Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Many installers rely on a Windows laptop to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Victron Energy products on site. Until now, this meant a wired connection, such as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/accessories\/ve-direct-to-usb-interface\" target=\"_blank\">VE.Direct USB cable<\/a> for products like MPPTs and DC-DC chargers, or an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/accessories\/interface-mk3-usb\" target=\"_blank\">MK3-USB<\/a> cable for VE.Bus products like Multis and Quattros, regardless of whether the product was Smart (has built-in Bluetooth) or not.<\/p>\n<p>With this update, the VictronConnect app now also supports Bluetooth connectivity for Windows laptops, so installers can connect to Victron Energy Smart products wirelessly, just like Mac laptops, or iOS and Android phones, already do.<\/p>\n<p>One less cable to dig for in the toolbox, and one less thing that can go missing. A wireless connection also gives users the freedom to stand further away from the device while working.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Access settings files, without needing the same app version<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The VictronConnect app has long had a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/media\/pg\/VictronConnect_app\/en\/demo-feature.html#UUID-b874e5ed-b204-cfa2-4209-ddeee85900fb\" target=\"_blank\">Demo feature<\/a>&#8221; where, along with many things, a saved settings file can be loaded through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/media\/pg\/VictronConnect_app\/en\/settings-files.html#UUID-8b57ad23-c17e-f4fe-b392-d3895eb54014\" target=\"_blank\">Settings file manager<\/a>, and the app then displays it as though it were connected to the real product, with the full snapshot of settings, readings, and history available for inspection, with only an orange &#8220;DEMO PRODUCT&#8221; banner as a reminder that no physical device is actually connected. This has allowed installers and end-users to review a system&#8217;s configuration, without needing to be on-site or connected to the actual product. More on how this works can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/media\/pg\/VictronConnect_app\/en\/settings-files.html\" target=\"_blank\">Settings files<\/a> page of the manual.<\/p>\n<p>Until now, that inspection trick <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/media\/pg\/VictronConnect_app\/en\/settings-files.html#UUID-27d9de09-246d-e2da-e189-401a2cf015cd\" target=\"_blank\">came with a catch<\/a>: it only worked if the settings file had been saved with the exact same VictronConnect version currently installed on the device doing the inspecting. Since the VictronConnect app <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/media\/pg\/VictronConnect_app\/en\/firmware-updates.html#UUID-44f6a28b-4fe0-f6b1-a144-34aec57d23f5\" target=\"_blank\">automatically updates itself<\/a>, this sometimes made things a bit complicated. A file saved by a customer running whatever version had quietly updated onto their phone last week often simply wouldn&#8217;t open for an installer, even on a newer version of the very same app.<\/p>\n<p>With the new VictronConnect v6.40, any settings file created with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/2026\/02\/23\/victronconnect-app-v6-30\/\" target=\"_blank\">VictronConnect v6.30<\/a> or later can now be opened for inspection regardless of which version is currently installed (as long as it&#8217;s v6.40 or later), helping speed up inspections.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Seeing every battery in the bank, from anywhere<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-33718 size-blogpost-single\" src=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/2023-Hymer-camper-Verbruggen-Bedrijfswageninrichtingen-31_329088865-750x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/2023-Hymer-camper-Verbruggen-Bedrijfswageninrichtingen-31_329088865-750x500.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/2023-Hymer-camper-Verbruggen-Bedrijfswageninrichtingen-31_329088865-1500x1000.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/2023-Hymer-camper-Verbruggen-Bedrijfswageninrichtingen-31_329088865-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/2023-Hymer-camper-Verbruggen-Bedrijfswageninrichtingen-31_329088865-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/2023-Hymer-camper-Verbruggen-Bedrijfswageninrichtingen-31_329088865-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of speedy inspections, wouldn&#8217;t it be convenient to see individual battery details in a battery bank remotely, without having to travel to the site?<\/p>\n<p>A battery bank is only as strong as its weakest battery, and finding that weak link has traditionally meant being physically present at the installation. With this release, individual battery details from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/battery_management_systems\/lynx-smart-bms\" target=\"_blank\">Lynx Smart BMS<\/a>, including voltage, temperature, and status per unit, are now visible over remote connections, not just when locally connected.<\/p>\n<p>For fleets, remote installations, or any system where a service visit is expensive or slow to arrange, the outlier battery can now be spotted from a desk, with a clear picture of what&#8217;s going on before the installer has to pack up their van.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>SolarSense 750 data, now ready for further analysis<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-33717 size-blogpost-single\" src=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/Victron-Professional-15_329088579-750x422.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/Victron-Professional-15_329088579-750x422.png 750w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/Victron-Professional-15_329088579-1500x844.png 1500w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/Victron-Professional-15_329088579-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/Victron-Professional-15_329088579-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/Victron-Professional-15_329088579-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/07\/Victron-Professional-15_329088579.png 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We recently introduced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/meters-and-sensors\/solarsense-750\" target=\"_blank\">SolarSense 750<\/a>, a compact, wireless PV performance monitor designed to help optimise PV energy usage and monitor the health of a PV installation. It measures irradiance, available power, estimated daily min\/max solar power (kW), and estimated daily yield (kWh), and logs its own history. Until now, though, that history stayed inside the app.<\/p>\n<p>With VictronConnect v6.40, that historical data can now be exported straight to CSV. For installers and integrators doing performance analysis, it is now easier to validate expected solar yield against what a system is actually producing, decide on the optimal position and angle for installing the panels, or put together a report for a client.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Your app, your view<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dark Mode is here in VictronConnect v6.40\" width=\"422\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YEwADkfjraU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While most of the features that we\u2019ve mentioned so far will mainly be appreciated by professionals, VictronConnect v6.40 also comes with features for everyone using the app regularly, for example the new dark mode.<\/p>\n<p>The app can now follow the phone or laptop&#8217;s system theme automatically, or light or dark mode can be set independently, regardless.<\/p>\n<p>That same attention to everyday comfort carries over to checking in on a system remotely. VictronConnect&#8217;s VRM tab, the one that shows the full system dashboard without leaving the app, has had a round of usability improvements, including proper support for portrait mode for the GX remote console. Note that this particular improvement needs the latest Venus OS on the GX device, which is rolling out in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>New product support<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Alongside all of the above, v6.40 also extends VictronConnect&#8217;s reach to new hardware, some available now, and some on the way.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, VictronConnect is laying the groundwork for upcoming enhancements to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/ev-charging\" target=\"_blank\">EV Charging Station (EVCS)<\/a>. Once a future Venus OS release catches up on the GX side, the app will be able to show vehicle information mid-charge, including battery state of charge and estimated range, and pairing an EVCS to a GX device will become simpler, dropping the need to enter a password at all.<\/p>\n<p>Also on the way is support for the new Energy Meter VM-3P5A (more on this new energy meter soon!). Once the meter becomes available, the VictronConnect app will be ready to handle its monitoring and configuration, adding it to the growing list of compatible Victron products.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Wrapping up<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>VictronConnect v6.40 brings installers and distributors a faster way to connect on site, easier access to a system&#8217;s history and battery health from a distance, and a more flexible way to inspect settings files. For end-users, it means an app that looks the way it&#8217;s wanted and feels more at home on a phone, wherever it happens to be checked from.<\/p>\n<p>We hope everyone enjoys using these new features.
