I want it simple, functional and fast. A special blend of old and new&#8221;, the experienced sailor explains. It will be launched in Spring 2015, the first in a series of luxury yachts from his new venture Michael Schmidt Yachtbau.<\/p>\n<p>The Brenta 80 DC is being built in Greifswald, Germany on the Baltic Sea. Michael Schmidt sailor and ship builder is the former CEO of Hanse. Michael Schmidt has been in the yachting industry for over 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>For the on-board power systems of the Brenta 80 DC, the luxury yacht is equipped with Victron Energy <a title=\"Victron Energy Batteries\" href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/batteries\" target=\"_blank\">batteries<\/a> and <a title=\"Victron Energy Chargers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/chargers\" target=\"_blank\">chargers<\/a>.
