The local grid was not able to cope with their increasing power demand resulting in\u00a0between 3 and 5 power outages per day. Of course, PV panels are sited out of everyone&#8217;s way on the roof in any case!&#8230; but with external siting of all major system components the changeover to private power was as painless as it can possibly be.<\/p>\n<h4>What&#8217;s inside the container?<\/h4>\n<p>This really tidy installation build was filmed, and the resulting footage edited by Jono &#8211; a link to his time lapse video 250\/100<\/li>\n<li>20 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/batteries\/lithium-battery-12-8v\" target=\"_blank\">LiFePO4<\/a> 25.6V \/ 200Ah<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/battery-monitors\/bmv-712-smart\" target=\"_blank\">BMV 712<\/a> Smart Battery Monitor<\/li>\n<li>6000A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/accessories\/shunt-600a\" target=\"_blank\">Shunt<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Externally the mini grid further comprises:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 Fronius Symo 20.0.3 Three phase PV inverter 40kW max<\/li>\n<li>130kWp photovoltaic panels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fronius inverters enjoy complete system compatibility with Victron Energy products.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/06\/image_168915822-scaled.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone controlled from anywhere using Victron Remote Management (<a href=\"https:\/\/vrm.victronenergy.com\/landingpage\" target=\"_blank\">VRM<\/a>).<a has also chosen to use <a href=\"https:\/\/nodered.org\" target=\"_blank\">Node RED<\/a> programming with which Victron&#8217;s operating systems are compatible (though unsupported) &#8211; enabling him to customise his information display and include information from unrelated hardware devices.<a
