saw an opportunity to add further interest to the architectural design of this stylish property near Almancil &#8211; Portugal&#8217;s Golden Triangle in the Algarve &#8211; and made it look easy!<\/p>\n<p>Power blackouts and voltage drops together with ever-rising energy costs set the owner on a mission to find alternative ways of enjoying his built-in facilities with increased reliability, and in a way which was greener, and at less cost.<\/p>\n<p>He has circulation pumps and filtration plants for the swimming pools and irrigation system; together with underfloor heating serving over 1000m\u00b2 of floor area &#8211; all of which totted up bills of thousands of euros per month.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/02\/Array2.3_157939239-scaled.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-22322\" src=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/02\/Array2.3_157939239-1024x505.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"505\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/02\/Array2.3_157939239-1024x505.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/02\/Array2.3_157939239-1500x740.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/02\/Array2.3_157939239-750x370.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/02\/Array2.3_157939239-2048x1010.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/02\/Array2.3_157939239-1536x757.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/02\/Array2.3_157939239-300x148.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With their knowledge of the market Freelight designed a three phase system comprising:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30 x 305Wp Monocrystalline All-Black panels (9150Wp)<\/li>\n<li>55 x 275Wp Policrystalline\u00a0Trina panels (24.275kWp)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are two grid-tied Fronius Inverter<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fronius Symo 10.0-3-M<\/li>\n<li>Fronius Symo 15.0-3-M \u00a0 (25kW in total)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>There are three Victron Inverters<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/inverters-chargers\/quattro\" target=\"_blank\">Victron Quattro<\/a> 48\/15000 (45kVA in total)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Energy is stored in three\u00a0racks of 6 x Pylontech US3000B &#8211; with a total capacity of 63kWh &#8211; and a\u00a0Pylontech LV-Hub<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Whole-system communication and control is performed by a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/panel-systems-remote-monitoring\/color-control\" target=\"_blank\">Color Control GX.<\/a>\u00a0The GX device has many functions, including controlling the solar harvest, battery charging, Solar inverter output; indoors and out.<\/p>\n<p>Larry Parker of Freelight says:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The greatest challenge of this installation was to aesthetically integrate the panels, cabling and inverter installation to make it fit in seamlessly with the visual attractiveness of the property both in terms of outside profile and interior design. Hence the decision to use the all-black panels which were placed flat on the roof to avoid being visible from the main road.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Together with other one-off adaptations to common traditional PV systems we feel our greatest success here has been the pleasing cosmetic appearance we achieved.
