A distributor comes to his rescue with an experimental re-charge.<\/p>\n<h4>Are you sitting comfortably?<\/h4>\n<p>Just before we begin you might be interested in a quick roundup of the setup we&#8217;re about to see:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 x <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/inverters-chargers\/quattro\" target=\"_blank\">Quattro Inverter<\/a> 10kVA are configured to recharge the vehicle with 3 Phase power. It&#8217;s not always possible to charge an electric vehicle remotely because they require a Neutral Ground which is not available on many generators or alternative power supplies\u00a0&#8211; but which the Quattro inverters can be switched to provide. This arrangement provides 11kWh &#8211; the standard &#8216;maximum&#8217; charge acceptance rate for the Tesla AC inlet &#8211; but wait, we&#8217;re in for a surprise.<\/li>\n<li>4 x <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/batteries\/lithium-battery-12-8v\" target=\"_blank\">25.6V Lithium Batteries<\/a> which between them store 20kWh.<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/battery-management-systems\/ve-bus-bms\" target=\"_blank\">VE Bus BMS<\/a> protects the battery during charge\/discharge cycles<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/panel-systems-remote-monitoring\/cerbo-gx\" target=\"_blank\">Cerbo GX<\/a>\u00a0ties everything together; and we get a look at the neat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/panel-systems-remote-monitoring\/gx-touch-50\" target=\"_blank\">GX Touch 50<\/a> display in action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The video saves the best for the end with a sneak preview of an early prototype of the Victron Car Charger &#8211; the EV Charging Station. Capable of providing 22kWh &#8211; electric car charging just came home.
