Two Victron <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/inverters-chargers\/quattro\" target=\"_blank\">Quattro<\/a> inverter\/chargers provide 30kVA of power; and the system includes two Fronius Primo 8.2kWp AC Inverters. Oh, and there&#8217;s a 15kVA back-up generator.\u00a0This diverse range of equipment by different manufacturers can be harmonised into one optimal system largely thanks to the compatibility testing and support of the Victron Energy components which lie at the heart of the installation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/Off-Grid-Solar-Power-System-in-Port-Vila-Vanuatu-4_132430411.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><div class=\"full-size-image container\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-20155 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/Off-Grid-Solar-Power-System-in-Port-Vila-Vanuatu-4_132430411.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"701\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/Off-Grid-Solar-Power-System-in-Port-Vila-Vanuatu-4_132430411.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/Off-Grid-Solar-Power-System-in-Port-Vila-Vanuatu-4_132430411-300x292.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/div><\/a>For example, the Fronius Inverters offer maximum efficiency by taking power directly from the PV panels and supplying the energy as domestic AC. When supply is greater than demand excess power is fed to the Quattro and used to recharge the battery bank &#8211; overcharging is avoided by the frequency shifting capability of the Quattro, which reduces the Fronius supply in accordance with the battery voltage.<\/p>\n<p>Notice that the batteries in this case are manufactured by SimpliPhi &#8230;compatibility between Victron Energy components and this Lithium Ferrous storage bank is also supported. The batteries get the power they need, quickly, efficiently and safely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post-title title\">The 15kVA back-up generator is also supported and has an auto start functionality. This is controlled by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/panel-systems-remote-monitoring\/color-control\" target=\"_blank\">Color Control GX<\/a>, which can trigger automatic relays according to various user-programmable &#8216;conditions&#8217; &#8211; such as low voltage \/ low State-of-Charge \/ or high demand.<\/p>\n<p>The backup generator might be required during extended periods of gloomy weather &#8211; even in Vanuatu a little rain must fall. If whilst the generator is running there is a surge in demand of power which exceeds the output of the generator, the Quattro&#8217;s PowerAssist feature will immediately meet that demand &#8211; supplementing the supply with inverter power from the battery bank.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/30kW-Offgrid-Victron-Simpliphi-Sunpower_132430114.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-20151 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/30kW-Offgrid-Victron-Simpliphi-Sunpower_132430114-564x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"564\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/30kW-Offgrid-Victron-Simpliphi-Sunpower_132430114-564x1024.jpg 564w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/30kW-Offgrid-Victron-Simpliphi-Sunpower_132430114-165x300.jpg 165w, https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/05\/30kW-Offgrid-Victron-Simpliphi-Sunpower_132430114.jpg 687w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 564px) 100vw, 564px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Color Control GX &#8211; and all Victron&#8217;s GX devices &#8211; is to allow the installation&#8217;s components to talk to each other, continuously optimising power harvest, storage and supply &#8211; across manufacturers &#8211;
