For the full list of requirements, such as minimal firmware versions, see the documentation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/search\/?q=VictronConnect+VE.Bus+Configuration+guide\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Warning<\/h3>\n<p>The features described in this post are powerful tools. They are intended for use by Victron Energy trained Engineers, Installers and Dealers. Their usage must not be attempted by system Owners and Users.<\/p>\n<h3>Introduction Video<\/h3>\n\n<!-- iframe plugin v.6.0 wordpress.org\/plugins\/iframe\/ -->\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z9VKtoAS8o4\" width=\"100%\" height=\"400\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" scrolling=\"yes\" class=\"iframe-class\"><\/iframe>\n\n<h3>Highlights<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>All inverter and charger settings are available.<\/li>\n<li>Contextual help and explanations have been added.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/search\/?q=VictronConnect+VE.Bus+Configuration+guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A detailed guide is available<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>In the app is a list of links to all related documentation. Such as the guide above, and also our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/live\/multiplus_faq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MultiPlus Generator FAQ<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>From the Virtual Switch, only the Dedicated Ignore AC Input feature is available, and it&#8217;s been renamed to AC Input Control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Firmware updating has become much easier:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It can also be done with Mac laptops as well as Android phones, instead of just Windows.<\/li>\n<li>No need to download the firmware file from Victron Professional, as VictronConnect already contains all the latest firmware versions. In this case that&#8217;s version 459.<\/li>\n<li>No need to update units one by one manually: VictronConnect will update all inverter\/chargers sequentially without interruption. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KlVZnk6du1E\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">This video shows a three phase firmware update<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Other changes in VictronConnect 5.8<\/h3>\n<p>The other significant change is that you can now disable bluetooth for many devices; in case that&#8217;s wanted. This is possible for our SmartSolar chargers, the Phoenix Smart Charger, the Smart Battery Protect and the BMV Smart. This is a process: in a few months there will be a disable-bluetooth feature for all products, including the BlueSmart Battery Chargers.<\/p>\n<p>For the rest of the changes, refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.com\/live\/victronconnect:beta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VictronConnect changelog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p>To conclude, we&#8217;re very excited about this update; and currently the developers are working hard to add setting up and configuring parallel, split and three phase systems.<\/p>\n<p>And later on the list is adding support for setting up ESS Systems.<\/p>\n<p>Best regards,<\/p>\n<p>Matthijs Vader<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Good Day!
