Victron have a complete range of battery monitors<\/a>, but for the purpose of this blog we’ll focus on explaining the difference between the BMV series of battery monitors. There are principally two base models, the BMV-700 Series and its variants<\/a> and the BMV-712 Smart<\/a>.<\/p>\n As the VE.Direct port is now free on the BMV-712 Smart you can connect it to other devices such as the Color Control GX<\/a> or the Venus GX<\/a> and even a Raspberry Pi<\/a> – giving solutions for every budget and installation type.<\/p>\n In the BMV-700 Series, the standard colour is grey but black is also an option with the 702.
