The Finnish electric propulsion specialist Oceanvolt enters to a two-way relationship with Victron Energy. The two companies will integrate their products to work as a unified system, which will form the base of Oceanvolts SEA® (Silent Electric Autonomy) concept. Oceanvolt SEA® system enables among other things running your A/C and other appliances without using your generator by converting the electricity from the propulsion system battery into 220VAC. MultiPower Hybrid: blue is the new green!
The life of a typical low power diesel generator is miserable. While sized to handle the highest load that may occur, the average load is often less than 20%.
The result is excessive fuel consumption, elevated exhaust pollutant levels, and soot formation in the cylinders; increasing maintenance and reducing engine life.
The MultiPower Hybrid combines synchronizing inverter/chargers, a generator, a battery and a control system in one container.
Generator use can be minimized with a MultiPower Hybrid. The generator will run only when the batteries need recharging and during periods of peak load, when the combined generator + inverter power is needed.
Whenever the generator is online, it will run at its most efficient load point.
Experience has shown that installation of a MultiPower Hybrid will result in:
Generator run hours can be reduced even further by adding solar and/or wind power to the system.
Two AC inputs with integrated transfer switch. The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example shore-side power and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro will automatically connect to the active source.
All Quattro- and several Multi inverter/chargers now have two AC outputs. In addition to the standard no-break output, an auxiliary output is available which disconnects the connected load during battery operation. It is, for example, the perfect solution for preventing an electric water heater from discharging your battery.
