Scooters powered by Solar Energy

Ghana, Africa: The Ministry of Energy from Africa introduced solar powered scooters to persons with disability. Two solar panels are mounted as a roof above the scooter to harvest energy from the sun and also to offer shade and comfort for the driver. There is a Victron BMV600S installed to monitor the battery on board of the scooter, so the driver can check the state of charge of the battery at all times. The Ministry of Energy aims to build local capacity and creates jobs with this innovation.
