Sponsored Pacific Ocean rowing challenge

In a few days time a team of 4 women known as the Coxless Crew and a boat called Doris, will start rowing 8,446 miles unsupported across the Pacific Ocean, from America to Australia. They will be aiming to achieve a world first in the process, plus reaching for their goal of raising a quarter of a million UK pounds for their two charities: Walking With the Wounded and Breast Cancer Care.

Victron Energy and Victron distributors Barden UK Limited are pleased to be sponsoring the Coxless Crew team in this challenging endeavor. It won’t be just human energy that is required to keep the team going!

Kylie

Kylie Minogue is backing the Coxless Crew as their Patron. Personally I can’t think of a better ambassador for the cause. Just perfect. Here is Kylie’s message:

“I am delighted to have become a Patron for the Coxless Crew and to be supporting their incredible expedition that is raising awareness for the women who benefit from the charities they are rowing for. From my own personal experience of having fought and overcome Breast Cancer, I know how difficult it is sometimes to find that necessary inner strength. These four women are going to face unexpected challenges I cannot even begin to imagine out there on the ocean and will have to learn how to overcome them. The passion and dedication that Natalia, Laura, Emma and Isabel have already shown is remarkable and I hope their journey will be as joyous as it will be tough. I wish them all luck and success and I will be following their progress closely. ”

In closing this blog we urge you to support the team and wish the Coxless Crew and all those involved every success from all of us at Victron Energy.

You can keep up to date with the latest news and social media via the Coxless Crew blog.
